Event Description

For September's meetup, we're going back to school, DC-style, with an Interaction Show & Tell event featuring your public service work.

Eligible projects include government, public health or public service applications, websites, or device interfaces. Projects can be complete or still in development and can include:
- Wireframes
- Personas
- Interactive prototypes
- Live sites or apps

Civic innovator Peter Corbett (iStrategyLabs, Apps for Democracy) will be on hand to give real-world technical and marketing feedback.

Each presenter will have 15-20 minutes to discuss the project and get feedback. Bring your laptop to show examples and plan to quickly recap the following:
- Special challenges or constraints you faced
- The needs and limitations of your audience
- How you came up with solutions
- What you would like to have done differently (if anything)
- Particular aspects of the project you'd like feedback on

--> If you are planning on bringing a project to show, please let us know what it is in the comments section to this post. <--

** Space is limited to 30, so be sure to RSVP early. **

I'm going to try to make it - though, I think the date listed in the event page is wrong. The email had Sept 21st - I'm assuming that is the correct date.

I just fixed the date. September 21 is correct.

If this is an August event, I'd be delighted to attend. If it is in, fact, September 21... AARGH... that's the first day of the fall term at THE GRADUATE SCHOOL -- But it is the day before the beginning of the Information Architecture and User Experience class..... (Wednesday nights beginning September 22nd)

I plan to show the work I have done for a government client. I used TheBrain Technology Software to make a dynamic concept map that blends personas, wireframes and other deliverables.

Sorry, but I am performing usability testing in Richmond this week. Hope to see you all next time!

I'm just confirming that I will be there tonight. I have a government project that I can show, plus a personal project I'd like to run by people.

Thanks to those who've expressed interest in sharing tonight. Should be a great event. Looking forward to seeing some new (and familiar) faces - thanks!

It was great meeting everyone last night! If you wanted to see that font tool that I showed, you can find it here:
